Many seem to think tariffs are paid by the selling country/company. There’s no way to have a serious discussion about them if people refuse to understand how they work

The government rakes in big money on tariffs, the exporters raise prices to offset the dig into their profits, the people keep buying, not only are the costs for them up but so are the sales taxes that have to be paid. Who is getting screwed over in this scenario? It's not the government, they reaping benefits from both ends. It's not the manufactures, nothing really changed for them.
