A few days before this term started, an Emirati royal backed a deal for a 49 percent stake in the Trump family's crypto venture, half a billion dollars, with at least 31 million earmarked for entities linked to the family of Steve Witkoff, the same guy currently negotiating Middle East policy for this administration. That's a foreign government linked deal putting money directly into a sitting US negotiator's family while he negotiates with governments in that exact region.

The scale around it is staggering on its own. Trump made roughly 2.2 billion dollars last year, mostly from crypto. He fired 17 inspectors general within days of taking office, removing the internal check that used to catch this before outside groups had to. The Campaign Legal Center now runs a public tracker specifically because they worry what they call the exhaustion factor will bury individual stories the way scrutiny used to catch them one at a time.

Watchdog groups aren't struggling to find the corruption. They're struggling to keep up with how much of it there is.
