Why don't claims like this give at least a little bit of how or why the action caused a problem.? Surely launching from a different spot on the white house grounds couldn't make the difference between the aircraft being too close or not. Under current rules, non-government departures and arrivals at DCA ar supposed to be halted when AF1 or Marine 1 are in the area. This not happening was the failure. But why? What were the warnings from the crew? These posts just tell you what you should think, without any information to allow you to think for yourself. This sounds a bit similar to when trump grabbed the limo's steering wheel.
