US Elections (& Politics) :)

LOL

1- they’re court allegations not just gossip and every other politician gets the same treatment. Are they supposed to hide it and not mention it until after elections?

2- it doesn’t sound like it’s his first

Honestly, I still would ideally like to see a Jury make a judgement not the Press , as in the past the Press has been wrong :

Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted (found not guilty) on all five charges in his November 2021 murder trial. The jury determined that his actions, which resulted in the deaths of Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber and the wounding of Gaige Grosskreutz, were justified under self-defense laws.

While the legal verdict established his innocence of criminal charges, the case remains a subject of intense national debate regarding gun rights, vigilantism, and the boundaries of self-defense during the 2020 Kenosha protests. The families of the deceased victims expressed disappointment with the outcome, arguing that Rittenhouse incited the violence, while supporters celebrated the verdict as a defense of Second Amendment rights.

This exactly
=========

Want to know why China is on its ascendancy and we're on our decline? Because in China they would have taken Fauci and publicly executed him. Why? Because they understand the importance of public harmony. You can't have the population believing that corruption goes unchallenged, unchecked and unpunished. People start becoming corrupt themselves, or taking retribution into their own hands. These are things that undermine the State.

We used to understand this as a country. It was literally architected into our founding. Three separate branches. Checks and balances for all things. It's all been undone. We are in a country where the crooks are running everything! We're already seeing the corruption ooze down into every facet of our lives. The ubiquitous 'fakengay' is just a major symptom.

There's a restlessness and it's been growing and it's going to explode. It's all fun and games until judges, politicians, CEOs, etc. are hanging from trees and laying dead in the streets. That's where this is all going because we won't hold people accountable.

This above all things was why Trump was elected - to hold people accountable. To date he's done precisely jack sh!t with that. The guy we elected to fix this turns out is the most corrupt President in the entire history of our country.

Don't come crying to me when we elect the meanest tyrannical Democrat we can find to wreak retribution on the people and party who told us they'd fix all this then turns out they're the worst of the bunch.

"why China is on its ascendancy"

Population decline for China will be a big issue regarding it's "ascendancy"

Honestly from a population pov, I believe Islam is on an ascendancy and others in decline

btw here is a good short video of business challenge exiting China ( part of the reason for China's previous Ascendancy was the West making China the world's factory ) :

So no reporting of court allegations. Against anyone.

Got it

Fact post my ass! This is because of yet another 100% democrat owned temporary program that is ending as specified by the democrats. The democrat owned "Inflation Reduction Act" added coverages to Medicare Part D that led to significantly increased premiums. The dems didn't want these increases to hit before the 2024 elections and created a temporary "demonstration" program to hide the cost increases.

Fortunately, you'd never know by casually perusing the news... nice to see it's the Democrats slipping one past the goalie for a change!!!

Even the LiveNOW from FOX article... :D

Medicare Part D subsidy program will end in 2027: Here’s what to know

The Trump administration plans to end a temporary Medicare Part D subsidy program after 2026.

The change could lead to higher prescription drug plan premiums for millions of Medicare beneficiaries next year.

Administration officials say the subsidies are no longer needed, while critics warn some seniors could face higher costs.

The Trump administration announced on Tuesday it will move to end a temporary subsidy under Medicare Part D, a Biden-era program that aimed to keep premiums stable for prescription drug plans.

But the snake oil salesman says premiums will go up less than 10 bucks for most... gee, the comments he's getting on this post...

As one analysis puts it:
" This “premium stabilization” represents a massive bailout to insurers to paper over the increased costs of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). The IRA’s redesign of Part D has caused insurer bids to nearly triple. Below, I’ll explain how the changes to Part D in the IRA caused insurer bids to spike and how the Biden administration is using billions of taxpayer dollars to cynically bail out insurers to buy down seniors’ premiums just months before an election."

Bailing Out Bad Policy

Plenty of other info out there searching for "part d demo".

So ACA, drug plans, Medicare, all going up, many getting forced out.
And it’s all the Dems fault with a Republican controlled Congress and White House.

And many here are apparently in favor of no govt subsidies at all for Americans, and think somehow magically health care will not get worse and more expensive, but those same people are cool while we piss sway hundreds of $Billions on foreign wars, foreign aid to Israel, Grand Ballrooms, etc…

Yeah ok, save me the not so well thought out false outrage

The pissed away money is another subject, and conflating the two makes it easy to deflect away from the main point. The cited "fact check" and other outlets say Trump is ending the program. No, what he's doing is not changing what the dems put into place. The "FactPost" you propagated is a false statement, that ignores all the details and throws out a cheap shot sound bite. Trump didn't "touch" medicare. He's in fact keeping his hands off in this case. There are enough bad things that Trump does that the TDS afflicted don't have to invent new ones.

Anyone in favor of government subsidies must like Mamdani's food subsidy program. Most of the time, food is a more urgent need than healthcare. We'll see how that one goes, but healthcare got an earlier start down the slope to full socialism. Many of those who can't afford healthcare now aren't able because of obamacare, as the uniparty stuffs the pockets of big pharma and insurance companies, while they return the favor to the politicians.

If I wanted to conflate healthcare cost with something else, I'd ask how much less costly healthcare could be if what big pharma spends on TV commercials was instead used to lower the cost of their products, and if the insurance companies and healthcare conglomerates weren't paying for all the new administrators created by obamacare.

Not conflating shit.
And comparing private industry spending with government spending is no more honest an argument than you're lamely trying to make.

Choices are made to end subsidies for healthcare, or let them expire, and instead of rectifying it, we spend money on foreign subsidies.
Its a fucking choice and Trump and the Republicans COULD do something about it.
Instead you and they will use if for campaign slogans.

As you decided to throw out the adolescent TDS retort I'm done with you

Will you lookee there, its seems those screaming that letting healthcare subsidies expire (ACA, Part D Drugs, others) is all the Dems fault becasue they were sun-setted in the original legislation....
Forgot to mention Trump and his Republican Congress via BBB, is ALSO playing that game and many tax deductions will expire at the end of his term...

The truth is BOTH sides do it and have forever. Its to score points for the next election cycle. and many are written to make it politically difficult not to renew.

It STILL doesnt excuse the Trump administration from making the conscious decison of funding exorbitant foreign wars and subsidies, while sticking it to average Americans

SOME of the BBB Tax benefits expiring when Trump leaves office... on purpose...

Rubio: “Iran would be a much different country if it spent its wealth on its people instead of weapons.”

Trump: “We're fighting wars. It's not possible for us to take care of Medicare, daycare, Medicaid, all these things.”

The US spends over $1 trillion a year on war while its own people sink into poverty, and Trump is "asking" for $500 BILLION more...

If you put me on ignore you won't see this, but for anyone else, my only purpose is trying to expose false info for anybody who happens to have read it. They can hear for themselves and decide what they think, instead of being told what to think by somebody who doesn't know squat about the subject. I intuitively think much of what you propagate is false, but I chime in only on subjects that I happen to know about or are easily fact checked. I've been following the part D subsidy details for more than a year, because of wondering why so many part D plans this year have a zero premium. Having long ago researched it, it was totally easy to spot bullshit.

So many lies from the Trump administration it’s hard to focus on any one.

Obama hasnt been President in over a decade…

I’ll have to think on this a bit….:blankstare:

The Shell reported a 70% increase in first-half profit to $16.75 billion, saying higher oil and gas prices during the U.S.-Iran conflict helped deliver its strongest quarterly performance in four years.
