During a House Armed Services hearing, Rep. Jen Kiggans asked Gregory Guillot, head of U.S. Northern Command, if he would deploy troops to polling places if ordered.
His answer:“I’m aware that doing so is against the law and I will not follow an unlawful order.”
Then Francis Donovan, head of Southern Command, backed him up:“I will commit to the same.”

No hedging. No ambiguity.
Why This Is a Big Deal - Let’s be blunt:Deploying active-duty troops to polling stations is illegal under the Posse Comitatus Act.
