US Elections (& Politics) :)

What's next...Trump gonna give us a better wing sauce recipe? Maybe he can get Dominos to improve their pizza sauce.

Whats different?
The case concerns accusations by the attorney general that Trump inflated his assets and his own net worth from 2011 to 2021 to obtain favorable bank loans and lower insurance premiums.

What did Adam Shit do?

Allegedly, Shifty, under penalty of perjury, stated he was obtaining a loan on his primary home in California AND Maryland. Can’t have both, especially if you are representing California in Congress. So, if he stated his house in Maryland was also his primary, he lied.

This is why voting doesn’t matter.
Far too many people enjoy being uninformed and/or rabidly loyal regardless of facts.

Schiff and his wife purchased a home in Potomac, Maryland, in 2003 for $870,000, according to the letter. They entered into a Fannie Mae-backed mortgage agreement for $610,000 at a rate of 5.625% over a term of 30 years, asserting the property would be their primary and principal residence.

The letter said they reaffirmed that the Maryland home was their primary residence in mortgage refinancing filings in 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013, despite Schiff being an elected official representing the state of California at the same time.

Fox News obtained a copy of the 2011 affidavit showing Schiff signed certifying that the Maryland house is his primary residence.

Pulte said Schiff and his wife did not list the Maryland home as their secondary residence until 2020.

Over the same time frame, Schiff took a homeowner’s tax exemption on a condo that he owns in Burbank, California, also claiming that home as his primary residence for a $7,000 reduction off of the 1% property tax, Pulte wrote, citing media reports.

The federal housing official wrote that he believes Schiff's alleged misconduct could be violations of federal criminal codes banning wire fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud and false statements to financial institutions.

Regarding Trump, I don't recall a criminal complaint filed by the banks/financial institutions. Not sure if there was any "federal" about the supposed crimes. Maybe, maybe not. For Shiff it appears there is a criminal complaint by one or more Federal Sponsored Entities.

I tend to believe it's more of a "tribal" thing. Kind of like rooting for your sports teams. Unfortunately, people don't understand this is not a sport and not a game. Many people were born into families who have always voted Democrat. They support Team Democrat no matter what. Same with the Republicans.

Wow, more on Epstein that I did not know...right after Tucker...

Who Really Backed Epstein
Who really had the power to protect Epstein across three states?

The first time Jeffrey Epstein was locked up, it was in a private wing of the Palm Beach Stockade with unlocked doors and a ‘work release program’ (even though sex offenders were barred from participating in work release programs) that allowed him to keep an office outside the prison, then ‘work’ from his beachfront home, hire Sheriff’s Deputies as his private security, have them refer to him as a “client” and all the records of his visitors, who reportedly included minors used for sex, were then destroyed as part of a “routine purge”.

As an example of the justifications for his special treatment, a Palm Beach officer wrote that Epstein is “poorly versed in jail routine and society and his adjustment to incarceration will most likely be atypical. For the time being, I am authorizing that his cell door be left unlocked and he be given liberal access to the attorney room where a TV will be installed”.

Both local and federal prosecutors threw the case against Epstein resulting in a light sentence. And while being a registered sex offender should have crippled his prospects when he got out, officials in three states colluded to keep him off their sex offender registries.

Florida prison officials refused to list him as a sex offender while he was in custody despite the clear evidence of his conviction. Officials in New Mexico, where Epstein owned a $17 million ‘Zorro’ ranch, took him off the sex offender registry two days after he signed up.

In New York, the Manhattan DA’s office colluded with Epstein to lower his sex offender status from Level 3 to Level 1 despite a specific recommendation from the State of New York Board of Examiners of Sex Offenders and objections...

My comment. As I stated above the Manhattan DA’s office was playing games with the Epstein files. This may well be part of the problem that Pam Bondi is having. Maybe the firing of Maurene Comey will help things if the files are still in the Manhattan DA’s office and have not been destroyed. Just me speculating.

I believe his was a NY state indictment
