US Elections (& Politics) :)

It is a shame so many people have a bad taste in their mouths from the prior administration, that carries on today!
It is hard to trust Anything that comes from our Gov't these days...

What the hell. Can’t be any worse

This is a really, REALLY bad idea. Elon's head is so big now if it swells any more it'll explode.... :headbang:

I'm for breaking up the uni-party. I'd like the old Tea Party to move the direction of the America Party.

I think it'll dilute the votes for the Republicans and put the Dems back in "The Big House."

Although I'm not happy with the Republican Party as of late and the RINOs, putting the Dems back in will be more of Joe, The Hoe, Tampon Tim and The Bartender.......and the only thing I can think that would be worse would be Having Hilary finally getting to hang her curtains in the White House that she bought in 2008.

I understand your concern. However, at what point do we put our foot down and say enough is enough. One thing I never liked was the idea of voting for a candidate because he's affiliated with a party to which you think you have common values. McCain and Romney poised the ultimate "why should I change my values to yours?" question. IMHO, the candidate should accept my values if they want my vote; not the other way around. They are asking me to change my values just because they are affiliated with a party that doesn't give a chit about my core values and principles. From what I could tell the Tea Party folks seems to align with me more so on a lot of issues but I am and never was a member of the Tea Party.

Why do tax payers in low tax states like FL need to subsidize homeowners in high tax poorly run states like NJ, NY, and CA?

That's not happening (and it wasn't happening before Chump started this SALT CAP CRAP in 2017, it's just a way Chump thinks he can punish blue states that didn't vote for him) ... High tax states send much more money to the federal government.

FL is among the states like NJ, NY, and CA that contribute more than they receive... the top contributors being NY, CA, NJ, TX... other states receive more money than they pay...

Which states contribute the most and least to federal revenue?

I'm guessing here... The America party will not be long lived... Elon is threatening Trump in order to get some leverage back... fear not Republicans, this is just Elon negotiating with Trump... right now Trump has the power, but this move by Elon will bring Trump back to the table... once the power struggle is over, Trump will realize he is better off getting along with Elon and will accommodate his needs and the two of them will be happily working together again! :)

Until people are willing to accept the pain of breaking the grip of the Uniparty, we’ll continue to ride the train over the cliff.
We’re running out of time

I saw this post on another forum about Elon forming a new party.

"I don’t know what Elon’s religious beliefs are, or if he even has any. He’s good at what he does and has done good things for Trump and the country, but God chose Trump because of Trump’s personalty and drive. Trump understands give and take(ie the art of the deal). Politics is not a chemical equation or a math problem and you can’t always expect a calculated outcome. There are too many unknown variables.
Trump also knows how to deal with people, friends or foes.
I’m thankful to Elon for what he has done and will continue to do for the country.
However, he doesn’t understand a lot about dealing with people, especially when you’re dealing with those who don’t agree with you."
