US Elections (& Politics) :)

I asked Grok to solve the federal budget deficit and debt, and to treat current debt like a 40 year loan. That 40 year loan payment is 1.9 Trillion annually. Medicare, SS, etc, are treated as separate programs that MUST be self-funding.

Look how fucked we are:

Yep.
Even without the Big Bullshit Bill we spend $2Trillion per year MORE than we take in.

At best, in 10 years we are at $57Trillion debt to service. This will eat 1/2 of every fucking dollar of your tax money.

There’s a shitstorm coming that could well make 1929 look like a mild recession.

You either default, or devalue the dollar to the extent that it’s worth penny’s.

The US Treasury just shocked Americans with a $258 billion surplus — its 2nd biggest monthly surplus in history. Is Trump’s plan surprisingly working?
Budget deficits are something we’ve come to expect from Uncle Sam. After all, without years of overspending, the federal government wouldn’t be sitting on trillions of dollars in debt. But, the latest monthly Treasury statement delivered a rare — and welcome — surprise.

In April 2025, the U.S. government collected $850.2 billion in receipts while spending $591.8 billion, resulting in a monthly budget surplus of $258.4 billion.

That’s not just any surplus — it’s the first monthly surplus of fiscal year 2025 (which began in October 2024), and the second-largest monthly surplus in U.S. history, behind only April 2022’s $308.2 billion surplus.

Does that mean President Trump’s plan is working?

Huge personal tax payments in April. Ask me how I know.
Won’t repeat

There's always an April surplus because of the tax deadline. It's not a surprise. It happens every year.

No it’s not a conspiracy theory, it’s more blatant over the top bullshit spending that can’t be justified.

Taking the budget for immigration from $2B to almost $45B is not even close to needed.
The border is secure NOW

I'd like to see the line items in that ICE budget.

I would be okay if they increased it to 1 trillion. And most Americans feel the same way.
What ever it takes to get the 20 million illegals out.
If you need to blame someone for this, I would start with Obama and work your way up.

Detention, processing, flights, etc..
Cost money.

Details for "No tax on social security" after reading the bill that passed:

  • Has nothing whatsoever to do with social security taxation.
  • Provides a $6,000 personal exemption for each taxpayer and spouse age 65 or over during the tax year.
  • Begins phasing out at $75,000 MAGI for single return, $150,000 MAGI for joint return. (For most, MAGI is the same as AGI)
  • Expires after 2028.
  • The deduction reduces taxable income. It does not affect AGI. This means it does not affect the taxable percentage of social security income.

Absolutely no change to social security income taxation! In the bill it's called "Temporary senior deduction".

By their own words they're looking at deporting 1M p/yr.

That means in 20-30 years, well after I'm dead, you'll be free of illegal aliens
But you'll face a financial collapse well before that.

Maffs are hard

Well so much for No Tax on Social Security, …. maybe the extra $10,000 in pay made it?
That’s in the bill right? Right?

You are surely mistaken, the house speaker himself said just yesterday it was in the bill :p

That's every bit an iron-clad promise as you can keep your doctor and keep your insurance.
