Upgrading dahua NVR - swapping hard drives

I just got a shiny new NVR. I have a 4tb premium drive in my old NVR and was going to take the drive out and swap it. Do I need to format it, or do anything special ? Or will the NVR prompt me to do everything

I'd format it, but the NVR should ask you that at start up.

Swapping HD's between various Dahua NVrs over the years, I've yet to have to do anything.

You may choose to reformat it just to wipe the old content, but otherwise it should just do it itself on start up
