University Hospitals says some of its digital services remain offline Friday after disconnecting its systems from the internet in response to the detection of "unusual activity" on its servers.

In a statement, UH said it detected the activity on Thursday and activated its response protocols. The health system said it disconnected its systems from the internet “out of an abundance of caution.”

UH said there is currently no impact to patient care delivery, but some digital services are unavailable as the investigation continues.

“We are working around the clock to address the issue,” the statement said. “We anticipate digital service disruptions may continue for the next few days.”

UH's website currently says it is "experiencing difficulties and limited services are available at this time."

Among the impacted services is UH's MyChart.

"We are currently experiencing issues with MyChart, we apologize for any inconvenience, and we are working to restore access to MyChart as quickly as possible. If you need to contact your provider’s office regarding questions on results, appointment or other information please reach out to your provider’s office directly," a message on the site reads.
