Ukraine related: Was Ukraine Government Is Handing Out Guns To Citizens, What Happened to Gun Control?

Yeah that's going to work! Modern AT weapons have 2 stage warheads to defeat reactive armour where stage 1 fires on nearing the vehicle followed by stage 2 on impact. Against a shipping container I'd imagine stage 1 will punch a hole and stage 2 will impact the armour. It's not going to be possible to deploy reactive / active defense systems armour as well as a shipping container I would have thought as there's no way of detecting the incoming round with the container in the way for active defence nor deploying the projectile plus you risk damaging the tank with the reactive armour explosion as it's enclosed. So I can't see these containers doing jack against a modern 2 stage round.

The Russians made great play of the Challenger they destroyed a couple of years ago but the simple fact is, non of these tanks were ever designed to be protected from drone warfare and thus all have vulnerabilites - in the Challengers case it was the engine bay from a direct behind strike - something that will kill any tank although they claimed the Challenger was weak and overhyped. I imagine going forward the next generation of tanks will have active kill systems capable of detecting and destroying drones and offering 360 degree protection. Unil then, all tanks will be vulnerable.

4 years in, and Russia at this time looks to have lost ( based on it's strategic goals to win )

Russia is now a far weaker Nation than before the war .. now a Junior Partner to China in the Cold War 2 era

"Underlying strategic objectives included toppling Ukraine’s pro-Western government, installing a pro-Russian regime, and bringing Ukraine back into Russia’s sphere of influence. Analysts interpret this as part of a broader aim to erase Ukrainian statehood, based on Putin’s long-standing denial of Ukraine’s legitimacy as an independent nation. "

The Russian invasion of Ukraine began on 24 February 2022, marking a full-scale escalation of a conflict that started in 2014 with Russia’s annexation of Crimea and support for separatists in the Donbas region.

How is russian strength or weakness measured? I look only at currency conversion charts. On a 5 year chart, the ruble looks about net stable with the dollar. The tall peak near the left is about when the war started. The ruble lost a lot, then gained, lost again, and now it's about the same as before the war.

Comparing the US dollar with the chinese yuan, the dollar has gained since the war started, so the ruble must have also gained against the yuan.

Now in absolute terms, since the dollar has gone to crap since the war started, the ruble has also done the same, but that's for the inflation discussions.

Does a strong Ruble make Russia stronger ? or weaker ?
Guess they should be able to buy more Chinese goods with their Rubles
Russia Oil if sold in Rubles should mean it is up in price ..

I'd have to think more about that aspect ( Ruble value )

From what I have seen recently :

Covert Cabal and others have done some good analysis on the Russia tank fleet ..

Russia casualties :
Total casualties (killed, wounded, missing): Over 1.2 million, according to the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), with estimates ranging from 1.147 million to 1.225 million.

Media Zona has identified 200k dead ..

Russia lost Syrian bases ..

Russia lost Maduro as ally ..

Russia looks like may lose Iran soon .. we'll see about this one

Russia unable to protect the shadow fleet of tankers ..

Russia now has more NATO members to deal with ..
