Hi. I purchased a PTZ camera since I wanted to cover a 50' wide area that's 60-80' away, hopefully with an presets for LPR and face ID. I got a pretty good price on a Tyco Illustra Pro Gen 4 PTZ with 42x optical zoom. Unfortunately I didn't expect it to be that big and heavy, so I can't think of a mounting spot for it.

Is this camera an overkill?
Is it really that good?

I was also looking at PTZ5A4M-25X but it's the same size.

Is there any smaller PTZ that you could recommend instead?
I am also considering the 5442-Z4E and adding a motorized rotating bracket (from Aliexpress) so that I can cover a wider area on zoom. Has anyone used these?
