Getting the hang of it

I have seen a few discussions about using a fixed camera along with a PTZ. I've looked through BI and the forums searcing some details how to set this up. Maybe I am just not using the best search words/topics.

I have fixed camera #84 watching the rear of the house. I have PTZ #96 (25x zoom) on my workshop (rear of the property). I would like #84 to have an area (rear door) to detect motion. Then have it trigger #92 to zoom in to the door (I assume a preset), follow the target's motion. Once motion is done have #92 return to normal preset.

Any guides or topics on how to set this up in BI rel 6?

A side note, a couple of weeks ago moved to REL 6 - 6.0.1.30 (related or not) my PTZ, after detecting motion and zooming, fails to go back to PRESET #1. Have others seen this? I have not yet done a typical "WATTJ" triple camera factory reset. I did reset all th epresets this morning and then rebooted the PTZ. The PTZ return to PRESET #1 still does not return to where it should.

Thanks, John.

Thanks for the pointer to the documentation. I played with it some today. Was able to get the fixed camera to point the PTZ on the trigger. And the PTZ did track me. Still need to play some more to work out the bugs like the PTZ reset to the correct preset. The docs have me a litle confused as to the best solution to take thanks to BI software updates. I'll keep poking around.

Thanks, again....
