Hi
I have ptz that is call by fix camera and when its come to fix camera ivs and begin tracking after that when object cross again the fix camera ptz is stop tracking and ita go again to the ivs from fix camera
It is some setting what can change at tracking is on first place ?

Too many unknowns, but here are the most common:

You didn't use Internet Explorer to set the camera up. Any browser but Internet Explorer (not Edge, not Chrome with the IE extension but plain ole IE baked into Windows 10) will then cause the make time to be 15 seconds regardless of what you put into it. Use Explorer and tell it 300 seconds.

Is the fix camera being controlled via Blue Iris or NVR or some other program? Depending on the VMS, there could be a setting in there.

Is something else triggering the fix camera to return it back to that spot.

Im use internet explorer on Surface
Im use Xvr to call my ip ptz camera
So i set ivs on my fix camera by XVR to call ptz so when im step in that ivs ptz is going there and begin track. When im go around and go littebit out side of that ivs and come again there fix camera call ptz again and that ptz stop tracking me and go to that preset what i set on
So its is any option to make that at when its tracking so its tracking ?

What does Track Time really mean? How long it will follow the item? What about Record Delay? Alarm Delay? Never understood what all the values on that screen mean. "Effective Object"... Will it not follow a dog also?

Track time is how long it will track the object. If you want it to track things other than human or vehicle, you need to uncheck those and then put a min size for an object to track.

They are called delay, but it is really how long it goes for.

Record Delay means how long it records for.

Alarm Delay means how long the alarm sounds if you connected an external siren to it.

Thanks for answering.

Last question…. What is the “tracking target size” and what is the unlock button with the countdown do?

The tracking target size is how large you want the tracked object to be in the image as a percentage. So if you select 80%, then it will try to make the object take up 80% of the image.

But it is a balance and you have to be careful with this - too large and the camera can have trouble following the person as their moves are exaggerated larger when they are taking up that much space. So if they are walking and then sprint real quick, they will leave the image and the camera cannot track. Too small of a target size and the camera has the ability to accidentally zone onto a non-moving object and lose your tracking. Most go for around 35-55%.

The unlock button will turn off the tracking so you can set up the parameters and stuff to your field of view without it changing because something caused the camera to move.

Sorry for hijacking the thread ;)

Thanks for the answers. They have explained a ton that I just wasn't sure of.

You said to turn off "object filter" to track things besides people and vehicle. I set a minimum size and can't uncheck Object filter. Am I doing something wrong?
