Time between alerts help

I have searched the forum and I am sure it is out there and I am unable to find it, but I am looking to have alerts only trigger so often. My cameras will be in a facility with people. I would like to disable alerts during the day except for maybe when the first person enters and then at night after hours alert to someone coming in but not every 5 seconds. People can be in the facility after hours and I would like to know someone has entered, but not tell me the whole time they are there if that makes sense. I hope any of this makes sense. Thank you for any help with this.

I'm not sure you are going to be able to configure something like "max 1 alert from 8 AM to 5 PM", but you can certainly have cooldown periods. Look at the Trigger and Alerts tabs in the camera settings in Blue Iris.

Is there a document on the cooldown periods. I have looked at it but not understanding how to set them up. Thanks.
