I have a group of three cameras all hooked to a Unifi Switch via POE. I also have a WiFi AP and several other cameras hooked to the same switch and they are still working fine. I checked the connections and according to my Unifi app the cameras are present but they refuse to respond. Any suggestions? I believe I have some spare ports available. I unplugged everything and sprayed with DeOxit and resealed the exterior connections. One camera is a PTZ and it goes through it's reset procedure so I believe it's alive.

What happened during the storm?

  • Lightning strikes?
  • Power outages/flickers?
  • Heavy wind and driving rain?
  • Is the switch on a UPS?

Use confirmed good poe switch and cable to test. If not work, Try to do a hard reset to the camera, reset the camera's button for 7-10 seconds. If both not work, camera dead.

I bought a POE injector for this very purpose. It gives you something to fall back on as a test device if you suspect a faulty switch.
