Thoughts in this PC?

Hey y'all,

I know there's a guide/sticky for this, but I'm not exactly the most technologically advanced guy.

My current PC is a i5, about 4 years old. I think 4gb of ram, honestly not sure. Running both my HTPC and BI w/ 6 cams, typically see 45% cpu usage.

New PC is i7 7700 7th gen, 8gb ram. Still plan to run my HTPC off it. My buddy swears by Milestone.

So question 1 is, is this PC sufficient?
Question 2 is, is Milestone that much better than BI?

Try Milestone...you'll come running back... what i5? What cams?...if the i5 worked the i7 will be fine.fyi that i7 is last gen so hopefully you didn't overpay..

I don't even know what i5. It's old haha.
I'm using the Chiness Dahua IPC-HDW4631C cams. They work great for me and I got 8 or 9 on ebay for $55-65 (a few here and there)

The i7 was a gift. I wasn't expecting it to come with a 8gb stick or a 240gb ssd, so I'm happy.
