This is getting bad

Have you ever done volunteer work at a Food Bank? Let me tell you....some of the food, A LOT OF THE FOOD, that we process and package is DAMN GOOD. I have had much worse and TRY to provide some of the same quality for my family right now. DGMW, some of it is lower brands...still good, but not the best. I would suggest you try it once or twice. I enjoy doing it. And bust a sweat. :)

Yea, I used to take a regular drive passing a synagogue that ran a food bank and was always perplexed at how many late model cars were in the line :idk:

Although, I can imagine some families may have needed very reliable transportation.

A lot of people scam the system. Same people that stand on the corner begging for money, then jump into their BMW to go home.
You are not incorrect. I witnessed this first hand when I lived on the south side in San Antonio. No, it wasn't a BMW, but it was a pretty damn nice care, nicer then what we had.

I worked Graves for years. A welfare building was right across from a stop light I always seemed to get caught at. Over the years I would see the same guy pull up in his Escalade get out take off his shirt and Gold Chains -- put on a old ratty shirt and head into get his free MONEY.

Having assisted a Church with food distribution, a lot of what they were getting is about to expire or not good enough to sell in the market :
Fruits, Veggies, Bread, Cheese, and canned goods - some of the canned good were expired.

If you are hungry, you would sort through the goods and appropriately process the veggies ( example, cutting off the bad parts of the onions .. freezing the bread so it does not mold in the next couple of days .. etc )

I have yet to see meats tho at that church handed out
