I updated all of my UniFi Protect stuff to Early-Release and now everything works as intended, especially alarm manager - everything started working after I enabled Remote Access and opted for Early Release updates. What gives? Sounds like Ubiquiti is forcing users to go with EA and RC stuff in order to restore function to existing Ubiquiti products we own. @wittaj was right, don't let any company control your network setups.
