The Typical picture of a Perp on Nextdoor-type Apps with Consumer Grade Cameras like Ring, Nest, Arlo, Canary, Wyze, etc.

This is great marketing to pivot newbies to non-cloud based IP Cameras, Andy  - JOKING
THIS IS PROOF TO NOT FALL FOR THE BANDWAGON. Invest in a real system, Period.
Even Ubiquiti sucks - all that motion blur at night renders footage useless - Ubiquiti cripples their own system by locking users out to customizability. Its the main reason why I would not recommend investing in a UniFi Protect setup.

Can anyone ID this door checker?

With all this light, certainly the camera could work better, yet it has the distinctive Ring purple tint when the camera can't decide to go B/W or color.

And being inside looking out doesn't help.

And too high and too wide a view isn't useful for ID.

And the top comment "He is wearing a work jacket. The police will be able to zoom in and read his name and employer name" If only this were a TV show....

Couldn't resist this one on Nextdoor in the UK. Do you recognise his face?

Love these posts on Nextdoor type apps LOL.

This thread will be used for members to post the poor quality consumer grade type camera images that we see people post to the Nextdoor type apps.

Can anyone make out this person that went thru their cars LOL....

And this thread is where members are posting the type of images we capture from better cameras of perps our cameras have captured:

Here is a good thread that shows one of the few times that an incident happened in a neighborhood and we are able to see side-by-side what the consumer grade camera provided versus the better quality cameras.

Haha yeah, those blurry Nextdoor posts are something else—you get one pixelated shadow and suddenly it’s a full investigation. Half the time you can’t even tell if it’s a person or just bad lighting moving around.
Honestly though, I get why people post them—better safe than sorry. But yeah, most of those clips aren’t giving anyone enough detail to actually recognize who it is.
