The official "WTF" thread

I didn't know there were any, I thought they went out of business.
There was one left on FM 1960 in Houston, we would drop by there every once in awhile, can't remember when it closed...

Same thing in Spain, they will not eat corn as it is cattle food. The funniest thing
was when we moved therein the late 50s. As a kid, I could not understand why they
did not have any Mexican restaurants in Seville!

Random weird fact of the day. The Survivor show theme song is actually a 1,000 year old folk song from RUSSIA....

(Skip to about 35 seconds in -- You're welcome.)

Kinda figured Brave was Chrome...every time Chrome would have an update, so would Brave...

OK damnit--- 2 days ago I was trying to find the residential rates for my garbage service. I could not find their website (they merged with another service recently), looked at the Facebook page for it, and clicked the link there to go to the website. Any link on FakeBook starts as a weird FB link and goes through redirects. This site redirected and landed on a "Verify you are human" Captcha. OK--whatever. NO---- the Captcha was a MALICIOUS LINK and I fell for it. My Chrome browser on my laptop was HIJACKED immediately via a .js script. Holy Shit. I have not had a browser hijacked for about 20 years--- and it just happened to me. I'm slipping here--- I'm losing it!! The Shame!!!

That damn thing was generating fake "Security Alert" popups and system notifications, then loading a FAKE McAfee page demanding money to "fix" my computer. I was kind of impressed. It took me about an hour to figure out what the script actually did and clear the changes out of the guts of chrome.

:eek::rolleyes::banghead:

Googling...

When a Mazda CX-30's speedometer acts strange (like upside down) after a battery change, it's usually an electrical glitch from the power interruption, fixable by resetting the infotainment system or the whole car, or adjusting the Active Driving Display settings in your owner's manual; first try cycling the ignition and using the steering wheel controls to adjust the display, then if needed, perform a full system reset, as detailed in the owner's manual.

I remember renting vehicles in Europe and this was how they had their display...
