In Texas, we have the Lone Star Card program. My Mom, who use to work at Walmart, would watch people bring steaks to the cashier and pay with the STAR Card. Mom, as a teenager, went through WWII in Germany with no meat...mainly potatoes.

Many of those types in the YT video you posted earlier will forgo having lights, water and food before they'll give up phone, nails, hair, clothes and all those other "necessities"....especially if they can get responsible, tax-paying, working people to pay for their stuff and their lifestyle.

And why not? According to them, they are "entitled" to such considerations from the "priviledged." :banghead:

Is this gaslighting, incompetence, fraud, or what?

Yahoo "news" headline says

Capture.JPG

Sounds pretty clear to me. But the headline for the story it links to says something different

Capture1.JPG

And the text of the story says

capture2.jpg

Exactly OPPOSITE of the yahoo headline. Can we believe anything we read or hear?

Happy Halloween all you WTFers!

@TonyR @David L

As I was getting emotionally dragged around on this .. I finally put on my thinking cap and was wondering how on earth do some of these folks actually get $5-7k a week on SNAP .. and the soda and junk food ..

Turns out it really is not typically possible to do that, and a LOT of the videos we see are created by "influencers" to get video hits, and are not truthful.
( drama queens, emotional manipulators, fake news, call it what you will .. )

the stats and facts ..

SNAP benefits, looks like average is $188 per person per month .. and there is a cap.
