Funny when I hear Millionaire. Pretty much all the ranches out here start at a million and go up from there...the question is what rancher is not a millionaire. Land prices also rose double. triple even quadruple in these last 4-5 years...like all housing prices did...
Many ranchers I have talked to got there land back when it was $1000 an acre or less, one guy got 40 acres back 30 years ago, $40k. He can sell his land now for at least $10k an acre. Our 10 acres we bought a couple of years ago was around $13k an acre, with 1/2 acre pond...full forest land...which should be less than cleared land...but we have a house, sizable shed, an open barn, pool, pool house and main all brick/stone house, built in 2010...we paid too much, IMO, but it is our last home...it will only go up in value for our kids to fight over...
Millionaire .. think that represents basically a slightly nicer home owner now in many states ..
