And newer residential electrical recepticals, switches and breakers have the "ECX" screws that 'somewhat' take a Phillips or slot but not very well. Milwaukee makes an ECX1 and an ECX2 bit and a ECX screw driver that fits snug and lets you tighten without slippage or messing up the screw head.

I used some drywall screws awhile back with the square head, I really liked them.

Yeah, they seem to stay on the driver better than the MUCH older Phillips, of which I have some well worn boxes of. If I remember corrrectly ( I don't do much carpentry or construction) about all you can find in the way of deck and drywall screws these days are square head (Robertson) or Torx.

I just bought 2 square head bits for my Makita last week.

Thanks...I need to get me some of those Bits. I remember several years back telling a coworker we need a Phillips/Flat head combo on one bit. We never pursued it.

I see Klein has theirs too...though read some complaints the flathead parts break off...

Milwaukee makes not only the ECX driver bits but also insulated and non-insulated individual screwdrivers for #1 and #2 plus screwdrivers with interchangeable bits, all with a lifetime warranty. Home Depot and Lowes, among many others, have them.

I was using Klein back in the early 70's when hardly anyone else catered to the handtool needs of electricians, technicians and linemen. Also good stuff!

Just ordered some, will try them out. I have a few light switches I plan to change out for Smart switches...

What is sad is we use to go to the grocery store back in the day and see magazines with headlines kinda like these but don't remember them being this severe...more like a 2 headed dog headline...
