Remember when 3G first being rolled out?

I remember when the Neighbors got a new AT&T phone with no rotary dial!
It was a new fangled push button!!! OMG it's 1969 and we were in the Stone Age!!!
My dad wouldn't pay extra to get rid of the Rotary dial phones.
I googled this gem of a commercial from you tube.

You forgot 2G, I remember when it rolled out. I actually even had a 1G phone, I guess it was.

Bag Phones they call them now. The company I worked for gave me one, they expected me to carry this thing around on the field, we had 2-way radios in our trucks. I ended up giving it back telling them I don't have time to lug this thing around, haha

Like this one;

Even had one of these too, again provided by a company, I also did not drag this thing around with me, just left it in the truck. How stupid to think they wanted to contact me anytime they wanted, hahaha. Sure wish we went back to those days...

Now I do remember them calling them Brick Phones:

Remember the extra. extra long coiled phone cords that could reach all across the kitchen? LOL

It was needed.....to have that private conversation in the kitchen pantry
We only had one phone hanging in the Kitchen for the longest time, no privacy there, I think when I was almost out of High School I got a phone in my room...

My first IP camera. 2007 Bought it off eBay for $200 and it was brand new. Took me several days to just figure out how to communicate to it. Before this it was X10 anaconda cams I used to monitor my shop. Of course, then I had the challenge of building an enclosure. Not long after that I bought more Axis IP cameras and sold the Zpan100 on eBay again. It was a fun project and taught me a lot about networking.

I had one myself, actually many over the years, I have the Fluke 42 now. Funny but when I worked for the cable company I would carry it up a pole and tap into people's phone lines to call out with. Mainly calling my girlfriend at that time. A few times people would pick up their phone to make a call and interrupt my conversation, how rude, hahahaha
