I’ll try and verbalize this as best I can. I have a PFA 121 mounting box. On one side it has a G3/4 “pipe” plug. I bought a POE extender that is small enough to fit into the box. I want one port of the extender to go to the permanently installed camera. The second port will go to an RJ45 female jack mounted in the 3/4 plug. This jack will be used for a temporary connection when I want to test a camera. Rather than run a separate cable, I can just use a patch cable from this jack. My question is if anyone can recommend a jack to fit into this plug. Since I bought the cheapest on Amazon I might need a replacement. If anyone has a recommendation for a small extender I could use that also.

Google says G3/4 pipe outside diameter is 26.44mm, the specs on amazon for this weatherproof female RJ-45 coupler say it's 22.50mm with a 28.80mm outside collar so it should fit if you have enough room inside the box for it. They're not cheap and you get 2 even if you want only 1. You'd need a short patch cable, of course, from it to your POE extender.

BTW, which POE extender do you have now?

I like this one better because you can buy only 1 AND it appears to have a much shorter inside section, leaving more room inside the box but I can't find the dimensions, not sure if it'll fit a G3/4 hole. I also think the outside cap design is better at keeping out moisture than the first one (above) that I posted.

I think it comes directly from China so it'd be a while (December) before it would arrive. Kind of a $10 gamble BUT Walmart Online also says "free holiday returns until Jan. 31st" so.....

I bought this one.
I bought a PFA6330X to mount a second camera in the same location without running a second cable. I was just wondering if anyone had experience doing something similar.
Last night, for the life of me, I couldn’t figure out how copy a link from the Amazon app on my tablet.

How are you sealing the mains power input to the PoE injector?

Is the box purely an indoor item that is a convenience for holding the injector and a permanent cable receptacle vs having them floating free?

In any event, there are connectors like you need with built in cables for the inside the box wiring, which is better because it removes a point of failure.

This is what I have used for a similar application: These have waterproof connectors on the exterior side which you might not need but similar ones are available with the cap connector like has been linked here before.

These are probably not G threaded but you can get adapters (safest), look for G threaded equivalents, or if the box is metal you can probably get it to make a good enough seal by cross threading the plastic and relying on the fact you’ll never need to reuse these connectors elsewhere.

I never did get a G3/4 connector but did get something recommended by @TonyR My thoughts are just to use this temporarily to test a new camera. I did see this and it seemed too unwieldy.
