Swann NVW-485 addapted to run on generic system.

Has anyone had any luck getting the Swann NVW-485 to work on any other systems..

I tried some other instructions on here, changing my IPv4 settings (not sure if I did it right), hooking the camera right to the computer, and also tried using a modem.
I was able to see the cam using Swannview Link,Admin 12345 login, and was able to see its IP address on there.
I tried to access the camera using ONVIF Device Manager, Device Config Tool, and SADP Tool.
I could not access the camera on any of these programs.

Am I missing something or is this camera just simply not gonna work?
 
Try running nmap/Zenmap against the camera's IP address. You MIGHT find a few ports open, but I don't see much besides sale info on this camera.
 
+1^^ to what @VorlonFrog said in that using a network scan tool (he suggests nmap/Zenmap, I use Fing ) might reveal a port for HTTP or RTSP which would only be the start of the uphill battle.

I'd hook Ethernet cable from cam to your router, apply power to cam, perform reset (Google images shows reset button on pigtail), wait a minute then run the network scanner of your choice, hoping to find cam IP and HTTP and/or RTSP ports in scanner results.

That would be a start. Until you can know if the cam has a webGUI that's accessible or if it provides a RTSP port you're shooting in the dark. Report back what you find, if anything useful.

I'm not familiar with nMap/Zenmap.....what does a clcck on the tab "nMap Output" reveal?
How did you arrive that 192.168.1.77 is the cam's IP address?
