Swann 4K Ultra HD is on sale cheap at Costco. Unfortunately, most Swann cameras are not ONVIF-compliant. Has anyone hacked this IPC?

I’ve used a few Swann-branded cameras in the past, and most of them were Dahua OEMs with customized firmware. Out of the box, they usually don’t offer full ONVIF support (sometimes limited discovery only), but with some tinkering you can often get RTSP streams working. The downside is that firmware updates from Swann are very restricted compared to buying a direct Dahua model, so you’re pretty much stuck with what it ships with.

As for the 887MSFB, it’s one of Swann’s newer 4K spotlight/bullet models. A couple of folks on IP Cam Talk mentioned success pulling RTSP and integrating with Blue Iris/NVRs, but ONVIF compliance seemed hit or miss depending on the firmware revision. If you want guaranteed ONVIF, Hikvision OEMs tend to be easier.

Price-wise, $69.95 is a solid deal compared to the Amazon listing—if you’re okay with the vendor lock-in and Swann’s cloud ecosystem.
