Sourcing Audio from other cameras in BI - Good Idea?

I'm replacing some cameras, and my original 2MP cams have no audio. There are some locations where there is a very close 4MP cam with audio. In some situations, the 2MP cam is perfectly fine, but I still want audio

Is the option to use audio from another camera generally pretty reliable?

Is the option to use audio from another camera generally pretty reliable?

I’ve been doing this for a long time with a few cameras and have never had any issues. In fact, I would say it works rather well.
