Since latest update, BI stops running in the middle of night

Since the latest update from BI a month or so ago, I have twice gone to check things when I get up in the morning only to discover the program is not running. The computer displays a desktop screen with no programs running, and no message saying 'program had to close unexpectedly' as has happened in the past, it's as if the BI program had never been started. I then click on the BI icon to start the program, it all loads and everything is fine again until the next time. I have the box ticked in options called "Run as a Windows service (no UI, Run again for console)" so in theory it should start again automatically if it stops, but clearly it's not doing that. Any help much appreciated.
 
Is the same PC you were having issues back in Oct. of last year here ? ==>> "Blue Iris crashing every week - 10 days"

If so, what was the outcome after Nov. 1? I never recall a result and has it been good for 6 months or ???
 
Yes it's the same setup, and remiss of me not to publish the result, sorry... That problem all turned out to be caused by the single USB camera we had added to the system - we disconnected that and everything has been running fine until a month or so ago when the BI update installed, since then it's stopped running twice as I have described.

Do you still have BI Tools installed and can rollback the update?
 
I've got Windows update set to manual for that reason. I'll try rolling back the update and report back here later, thanks to all for the help.
