I started using Security Spy, a Mac software about a month ago on a Mini M1 and am pretty happy with it. The NVR thing just got old. The menu system and window options are well organized for different tasks / operations and It is very intuitive if you want to dive in before reading. There is an Appletv app and a phone app that go with it.
