Hello guys,

Not sure if anyone is having similar issue but had it pretty much since day one.

I have 1x PTZ SD49225XA-HNR and 3x IPC-HDW5231R-Z set up to record to a local NAS. All cameras are working fine and recording except I can't playback any videos generated by PTZ in SmartPSS as it says "IP Channel has no recordings" despite showing blue dots in the calendar indicating there are recordings. All other cameras playback just fine. I know the recordings from PTZ are there on the NAS, both DAV and JPG files as I downloaded a random one and can play it alright in VLC so it looks that SmartPSS doesn't like DAVs created by PTZ. Any ideas please?

Thanks

All of my PTZ's record fine.

I wonder if it could be an issue with the codec?

The PTZ records fine, it’s the playback in SmartPSS that doesnt work as it says there are no recordings but I know there are. I’m using the same H.264H across all the cameras including the ones that playback alright.
What about Encoding Strategy setting like bigredfish mention above? Your setting is General, AI Codec, or Smart Codec?

These are the settings which are exactly the same as every other camera in the house The videos recorded by PTZ work fine when I open them in VLC.

As well SmartPSS recognizes there are recordings (see blue dots in the calendar) yet says no recordingsIMG_0988.jpeg

I meant Encoding Strategy here. But it doesn't seem like you have that option on your PTZ camera.

I record to NVRs so the first thing I would look at on my system is if the Device details are correct. IP address changed for instance...

Its not matching the recordings to that device in SmartPSS for some reason....

I guess if it was an IP issue then the Live view wouldn’t work either? The folder with recordings gets creates automatically by the camera itself and it is writing to it as recording do get created.

Yeah you’re right
