I’m facing a hardware issue with Samsung IP cameras model SND-5083P.
Problem description:
Camera continuously reboots (power off/on loop)
Powered only via PoE (IEEE 802.3af)
Tested with multiple PoE switches
Tested using a very short Ethernet cable (1 meter)
Camera body heats up significantly before reboot
All units show the same behavior
My suspicion:
Power/PoE section failure (DC-DC converter, voltage regulator, or capacitors aging).
Questions:
Has anyone repaired this model at component level?
Are there known weak capacitors or ICs in the PoE power section?
Is overheating + reboot a known end-of-life symptom for this model?
Any schematics, board photos, or repair experience would be greatly appreciated.
