So today I went to look at one of my DVRs with the Samsung PTZ form long ago I know lol and it was offline.. So checked out the cameras connection by changing ports on the DVR and still no feed, I went and tested the 24v was still there and it was, I then tested the connection with another smaller indoor PTZ that I have that is much smaller and easy to move around and the little PTZ booted and there was a picture. So I know that the Power supply is ok, I know that the BNC cable is still good. I removed all the extras from the camera and only connected it so the camera output and power input was connected to make sure there was not some other issues that might have been causing it to shut off, I have 5 inputs and 2 outputs connected, They were not the issue..
I might have to take it down and take it apart. Issue is that I don't record this camera full time, Only on Ai events and or motion so I am not sure when it went offline. Yesterday there was a storm that went though and while my area didn't get hit to hard there was some extra high winds and lightning/thunder, My guess is that is when it went offline.. I mean I have some same age 37x zoom box cameras that I am not using right now if it was just the Camera Module that won't be hard to fix..
Anyone have any ideas what I should try before I take it down for a closer look? It has been a few years since I had to repair the Belts on the camera.. I replaced the Fan at that same time as it was kind of loud. Because where it is mounted I don't give it as much attention as I do my other cameras when it comes to Maintenace. Plus it is designed to be in very cold weather with heater, fan and the type of housing it was built in..
Yes I know it is old and not in HD type format but it is one of them type of cameras that cost enough you don't just replace it when it goes offline..
