Reolink doorbell - new iPhone app, have to create new account?!?

Well, apparently Reolink updated their iOS app for iPhone, and suddenly, I have to create a new account? SMDH.
Worse, they supposedly sent an 'activate account' email, but of course, it hasn't arrived in over ten minutes. SMDH2.
Whut da akschual ferk?

On the brighter side, it's still at the same fixed IP address, it's still hardwired, and I can login via the web interface.

What I finally did was use the web interface to reboot the doorbell, as BI would just NOT connect to it.
