Recommendations for IPv6 IP cam

Hello,

I could use some recommendations for an IPv6-enabled IP cam to replace my aging Reolink RLC-410WS. It still works, but its long since out of support, and I'm trying to retire the IPv4-only IoT devices at my house. (Good luck, I know! Baby steps.)

This cam is a outdoor "pet/kid/wildlife/weather watching" cam so ultimate optical performance and security isn't needed. Currently this cam uses a separate power supply, but a replacement could be PoE with a suitable injector. Wired Ethernet would require drilling and additional equipment, so I'm trying to avoid that if possible. WiFi performance with the current cam is acceptable. I don't record video from this camera, just stills that are assembled into a time-lapse video on another server.

Main requirements are:
  • IPv6
  • WiFi, 5GHz capable preferred
  • Standalone, no NVR required
  • HTTP API for snapping a frame
  • Good nighttime performance
  • No issues with sunlight directly on the cam (faces west)
The Reolink remote access capability is really nice but I am not sure that sort of thing is common in this class of camera.

Thanks for any recommendations/questions/etc.!

Update: I ended up dropping the WiFi requirement and chose an Axis P1745-LE bullet camera for the project. Axis provides a complimentary cloud service and mobile apps to view the cam remotely, nighttime performance is excellent even without illumination, and like all Axis cams its packed with features. The cost and wiring work is the downside, but you get what you pay for.

Yeah the IPv6 and WiFi requirements for a CCTV camera is a strange combination. It says, "I'm invested in IT enough that I want to use IPv6", while at the same time saying, "I'm not invested in my CCTV cameras enough to use a hardwired connection instead of WiFi".

I get it, WiFi is more consumer-targeted, and IPv6 requirements don't come up much outside of mandated areas like government.

My post was a shot to see what was out there. Turns out, there is one player, they know it, and charge for it :)
