IPC-B52IR-X3 3x 2MP Perimeter Camera.
3.142.0000000.1.R
Build Date 2024-08-01

I'm trying to understand some of the software options.

1) Alarm>Exception>Voltage Detection>Abnormal Voltage. Is the camera monitoring input voltage, such as 12v or POE+, or is it monitoring output voltage to the "DC 12V OUT"?
2) System>Peripheral>Serial Port. This does NOT have a selection for a PTZ protocol. How is it used? It appears that the PTZ control is used to tilt the three lenses up and down, but what is the serial port for? Is it to feed RS-485 into the camera to tilt the lenses (which would require a protocol like PELCOD), or is it an output to other devices?
3) System>Peripheral>External Light. How do I use this, and is it fed from 12V DC OUT or through RS-485?
4) System>Peripheral>Wiper. How do I use this, and is it fed from 12V DC OUT or through RS-485? This camera has no wiper and does not seem to have a place to mount one. Perhaps it is a vestigial piece of the software? Can it be used to trigger something?

My understanding

1- Monitoring camera input
2- no idea
3- I found that to activate the onboard IR or white LED, deceiving label
4- Not certain I think leftover from FW for PTZs.

Question for you,.did you connect it to Blue Iris or an NVR?

I ask as I just got 2 in last night, verified it and my NVR8CH-8P-2AI has the latest firmware but in the POE section it shows as poor. The video is a good 8 seconds behind live and I tried multiple ports and cables with the same affect. Wondering if it needs a dedicated poe injector.

I run mine off an 8 year old Dahua NVR just fine.

The POE meter page is largely garbage and not accurate

So is it common for the IPC-B52IR-X3 to be 8 seconds delayed? I only connected the one camera vs a IPC-E541F-E2-ASand a couple Amcrest ones that were not delayed

No, mines not

Did you do a factory reset before you installed it?

For some reason many of my cams have a horrible lag out of the box and a factory reset fixes it.

For that and other reasons, my first course of action is a factory resest before connecting a new camera to anything.

I have not and only spent about an hour messing around but will try this (thanks for update).
