Hi all,
I’m troubleshooting a Dahua NVR/DMSS issue after changing internet provider/router.
Setup:
What else should I check when live view and motion alerts work, but the NVR stops recording and playback only shows footage up to an earlier time?
Could this be a recording database/overwrite issue after firmware update? Should I reboot the NVR first, try manual recording, rebuild/repair the database, or format the HDD as a last resort?
Thanks in advance.
I’m troubleshooting a Dahua NVR/DMSS issue after changing internet provider/router.
Setup:
- Camera 1: connected directly to the NVR PoE port
- Camera 2: connected via a separate switch/mesh point
- Camera 2 was still on the old network
- Using the NVR “Modify IP” function, I changed camera 2
- Camera 2 now works when added manually in DMSS, so the camera itself seems reachable. Thank you @bigredfish
- Live view works.
- Motion detection notifications are received in DMSS.
- But when I tap the motion event, DMSS says: “Video not found”.
- In playback, the NVR only shows recordings up to around 14:49; nothing newer appears. (it is 16:43 here)
- This problem is happening with camera 1, which was not moved to the new network. I only updated its firmware.
- Recording schedule for channel 1 appears enabled for General/Motion/IVS across the day.
- Record control is set to Auto for main stream and sub stream.
- HDD status is Normal and Read/Write.
- HDD is full: 0 GB / 3.58 TB.
- “HDD full” is set to Overwrite.
- Quota is disabled/off.
- NVR date/time is correct.
- IPC time synchronization is enabled.
What else should I check when live view and motion alerts work, but the NVR stops recording and playback only shows footage up to an earlier time?
