PTZ5A4M-25X Upgrade Failed

Andy,

I am upgrading firmware on my Dahua cameras today. Upgrading IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 went well but PTZ5A4M-25X fails. I am currently on V3.200.0000016.1.R, Build Date: 2024-03-12. I am attempting to upgrade to the latest firmware on your website V3.200.0000018.2.R.240617. On my first attempt I used web interface. I was not paying attention but when I came back it was still on old version. I set to default and repowered. Still at old version. On the second attempt I used the config tool. I believe it got to about 15%. There is no reason given in the tool. It just says "upgrade failed." When I looked at the camera on the web interface after the failed upgrade, it did not display a video but had a message about resources. It is working again with the 16.1.R version but I have no way to upgrade to 18.2. Can you offer some help?

Did you ever get your PTZ5A4M-25X updated? I have one on the old GUI and can't figure out how to update it from the 2021 firmware it is running. I suspect it has to do with the new GUI vs old GUI models but documentation on how to tell and then how to update the old GUI models is lacking. Here is the post I just made on this topic. Saw your unanswered post here and thought I'd ask ya.

Why are you updating? Do the release notes specifically mention fixing a problem you are experiencing?

Have you tried Internet Explorer- the PTZs are really sensitive to browser.

But the bigger issue is the 2026 firmware is for the newer GUI firmware which will not be compatible with your version of camera.
