1st gen/large Hubble is very large in person.
Mini is well.... mini.
 
Back on topic! ETA for new FW release? Garbage days for me still cause a couple of random "bin is a person" tracking issues
 
It would be a good value if the tracking just didn't suck.

That said, I I mentioned previously, inside of 150ft and with a clean non-busy scene with few distractions (field, large open lot) it will probably work fine for you.

It fails to acquire a target often after initially being triggered. In this case it does acquire it on the second try.

Was there ever new FW issued for this camera that fixed any of the tracking issues?
 
There was a release that did seem to reduce vehicle tracking when not desired or enabled.

But I think it’s at its limits in my scene.

In a more open, less cluttered area, and inside of say 250-300ft, it does well.

I just think it’s 1st or 2nd (or whatever generation) AI. Doubtful they’ll update it in any major way.

Has anyone else used the Experience Database to reduce the number of false positive? I have a view with lots of ducks and I was getting an insane amount of triggers so I started adding all of them to the negative samples of the database. I now have a few hundreds and the number of false positive is down to a trickle. Could this have reduced the sensitivity to detecting humans?

The other annoying thing is that adding samples to the database stops working after a few additions, it becomes impossible to select a target on the screen. I have to kill everything and reopen a new session. Any workaround?
 
I’m in the process of moving to Frigate and letting that do the object tracking instead of crappy Dahua firmware.. Just bought an Ultra MS-02 from Minisforum and have been playing around with it for a few weeks. What a god damn powerhouse of object tracking and detection when used with Frigate that system is with its integrated NPU/GPU setup. I’m blown away how the cpu doesn’t even hardly break a sweat doing LPR, semantic search embedding, object tracking, etc.. I have it recording to a NAS and it’s been rock solid for weeks now. I’m really impressed how far Frigate has come.

can frigate run on somthing less that the 1200 dollar ultran MS02?

No. What are you looking for? The GUI?

We may want to start another thread so we don't junk this one up. But here is the explore page. All tracked objects are listed. I can also type in what I'm looking for at the top of search bar (e.g. red car driving down the road) and it will find that for me. If you want more info, create a post and I'll try to help if I can. I'm still fairly new too. I used it about 5 years ago and the devs have made some amazing changes since then.
