PTZ5A4M-25X IVS and Tracking ?

Why is it at night my tripwire does not work like daytime? Was I suppose to set Global configuration (IVS)?
Its darker?
The target (subject) isnt as well lit. So its possible you dont have a good enough image at that point in that scene to detect as well.
Id have to see your tripwire and sensitivity and image at night
Post a clip of it missing the subject
Yes you should set Global to 8-9 I do. Dont bother with the rulers

Depends on the scene and your goals, and the camera capabilities.
Zoom generally means a more narrow field of view (FOV) so you see less area but higher detail where zoomed.
Wide angle is prettier, covers more area, and is generally less useful in ID of a subject.

I was hoping to cover more area and have the PTZ zoom and track. I zoomed in more and will see what happens.
I notice the trips picking up better but the camera will back out after 2-3 seconds and not stay on the person even when they are right under a bright light.
I don't understand why it locks on a person starts to zoom and track and them zooms back out after a few sec.
I have one.
Unless you have a relatively clear open area with little congestion, it does that a lot unfortunately

Having horrible tracking issues with this PTZ.
Any suggestions? I had a 6 series there for 4 years that had AWESOME tracking, but with the 1/2,8" sensor it just really began to suck in low light (and I think weather may have gotten to it)
The image on this PTZ5A4M-25X / SD5A425GA-HNR is far superior with the 1/1.8" sensor, but if it can't track better than this, it doesn't really matter

I found it good out even to 200-250 but again that’s in a non-busy scene.

I have surveillance on one house for the Sheriff, with one porch light on and total darkness around.
You'll get 100x more false alerts
IVS lines are part art part science.
I cant tell you how many people Ive seen here say IVS doesnt work well until I look at how their lines are drawn.

Ok so is it parked there? Is that the Home preset?
Should be no problem picking up targets in/out of that door.
