PTZ5A4M-25X IVS and Tracking ?

Its darker?
The target (subject) isnt as well lit. So its possible you dont have a good enough image at that point in that scene to detect as well.

Id have to see your tripwire and sensitivity and image at night
Post a clip of it missing the subject
Yes you should set Global to 8-9 I do. Dont bother with the rulers

Is a zoom preset better than wide angle?

Depends on the scene and your goals, and the camera capabilities.

Zoom generally means a more narrow field of view (FOV) so you see less area but higher detail where zoomed.

Wide angle is prettier, covers more area, and is generally less useful in ID of a subject.

I was hoping to cover more area and have the PTZ zoom and track. I zoomed in more and will see what happens.

Settings are everything with a PTZ. Something as simple as contrast 7 higher than brightness can be a bug change.

Changing the zoom ratio size is another.

Without examples and screen shots of settings, it could be anything.

I have one.

Unless you have a relatively clear open area with little congestion, it does that a lot unfortunately

You need to spend some time reading

You'll get 100x more false alerts

IVS lines are part art part science.

I cant tell you how many people Ive seen here say IVS doesnt work well until I look at how their lines are drawn.

Ok so is it parked there? Is that the Home preset?

Should be no problem picking up targets in/out of that door.
