I have installed numerous Dahua NVRs over the years and have had zero connection issues.
The new model I bought on February 13th this year didn't want to connect to any P2P service.

Here's what it needs.

You must have a Dahua account and add the NVR to the account for DMSS to work.

You need the latest version of SmartPSS Lite for the new NVR version.

Another member has old and new NVRs on his DMSS and said after getting the Dahua account and adding the new NVR to it the older NVRs still work.

Good morning,

What do yo have as the latest version of SMartPss lite?
 
In terms of this push to having a DMSS account for newer NVRs, does this affect adding via IP/Domain at all, or not? Can we continue to do this without an account?

This is the latest version I found on the Dahua wiki site. Works well other than that known issue @bigredfish and others had cutting a clip from the playback timeline where it doesn't want to download the first time you try to do it. You just have to hit download again and then it downloads immediately. Was this issued resolved on the windows version of smartpss lite?

That 2024 version is old. Normally I dont update unless necessary but you relly want the 2026 version

And yes the 2026 versions fix the download issue

Thanks alot for this info but I have a Mac and it appears this is only for windows... I have searched around I cant find any Mac update later than the one I have...SMH
