Problem with DS-2CD2635F-IS/ZJ RED image

Hi,

i have a problem with the camera above, it shows the image in RED.

The camera is brand new, chinese with hacked firmware from seller. It is firmware version 5.3.6.


The camera had a color problem in first place
Before the camera image was rather greenish, but still normal white wall but gras was like grey instead of green.

I though reseting it may help but it resultet in red image.

Any idea how to solve.

looks like the ir cut filter is stuck...try hitting it while changing from day to night mode..

You should hear a faint click when you switch the cam from day to night to day, etc.
Smacking the cam worked for me the first time. And the 2nd. But not the 3rd.
Opened up the cam, trimmed away some epoxy holding screws in place, and got down to the IR cut filter.
Worked the filter back and forth. Then added SMALL amount of silcone lube to the glide rails.

The cam has been working fine for 5 months since.
