After our mailbox was opened, a guy came running down the street less than a minute later. A minute before the mailbox was opened a car drove slowly down the street. All this happened in a period of 3 minutes.

Hey, lulu....got a project for you I'd love to see implemented. Since that's box is on a wood post it would work great....connect an electric fence charger to the box and turn it on at dusk. Just be sure to turn it off in the morning!

we used to have kids driving around smashing our mailboxes for entrainment till I got tired of putting in new mailboxes and had a welder friend make one out of 3/8 armor steel. the next time they tried smashing it they had stole a pickup with gold clubs in the back from a neighbor a couple of miles away and were driving down our streets which are a mile long with a dead end till they got to us. evidently they were taking turns till one guy hit my mail box. the club broke when hitting the heavy steel sending the end of the shaft into the swingers back. the cops arrested them after they went to the ER and gave a sketchy answer into how it happened so security followed the blood trial to the stolen truck and call the cops
