Popular IP camera for night and motion + BI?

After giving up on the Arlo Pro 2 with its constant triggering, and ignoring zones I went for a Reolink 422w dome which is working with BI.

Im only a week or so using BI and so far am impressed. Iv got to get another two more cameras, one over the drive way out front, and another for the back garden.

I dont want to get another reolink because I need a bullet type to get the right angle, and think a PIR + Motion will offer a bit more control, maybe, reolink dont do these that work with BI.

I dont need a 5mp camera, the one I have also has motor zoom but is of no use to me as its all about good night vision and accurate motion detection hence why I went the BI route.

I got the reolink dome at my door this covers one side of car and path, the front of house where the reolink is has public path, road, a tree over hanging so has all the things to trigger false motion. I got this under control in BI.

After looking about I see so many brands, makes, and models, and it just gets too much to sive though.
Can someone please tell me what is a very popular at a mid range camera for my home that has good night vision, reolink is clear but gets blown out, it also has a issue of over exposing sunny days with chromatic aberration quite bad at times. I could send it back still but it seems to be working ok.

Now the PIR detection, Im not sure what control BI has over this PIR and how it works with BI, and if it can be combined with motion detection. 3mp camera would be fine, audio would be nice but not essential, quality of image at night is important as well as how well it plays with BI. A bullet would be ideal. I dont want to pay no more than £130 per camera ideally.

Welcome Daniel,

Reolink is not very well liked here as we believe you can get a significantly better quality product, as well as numerous past issues with Reolink spammers and company representatives.

Do take a look at the Dahua OEM 2MP starlight models - number of good options there, and look for Andy as a source who can ship to the UK.

Avoid reolink, they are a garbage lying company and the cameras have issues with blueiris.
You dont need a bullet, look for a turret camera. Its a much better design.
See dahua starlight or hikvision low light camera threads.
there are several ways to incorporate pir into blue iris, there are many threads discussing this. Also see info on zone crossing.

Thanks, Il check them brands out. Im already using the best of what BI has I think. Im using a combination of min size, max size to cancel small and large motion out, zones as cross zones, and have the sensitivity contrast different to times of day, min motion time to 2 seconds with a 5s buffer.

Its a 5mp camera but its not realistic to stream that 4mp is more than enough. If it wasnt for Arlo pro 2 having such poor software, and tech support then they would still be in use today but they failed bad. Its been a nightmare last month trying to get a half decent setup, but there is just a overload of information out there.

Search the forum and learn about the garbage that is reolink.... Arlo is even worse than reolink.. unusable crap for suckers and want to pay a Perpetual fee.

I had 3 weeks of a nightmare with the Arlo Pro 2 so can say from experience that they are very un-secure for a security set up, and your pay a huge amount for the privilege. I like the idea of them and how they should have worked, and in a way Im trying to replicate the streamline method they have, only have it working. BI has done well so far in my short time iv used it, but its certainly for the tech minded and still have some hurdles to over come such as static ip, cant find a way to set that up for both the internet ip and the camera ip which keeps changing.
