plz explain why similar spec cams price so differently?

i read many here advocate buying from empire on ali* because it's english firmware
(not hacked). now i'm looking between two cams that have features i think i want;
IPC-HDBW5631R-ZE that empire sells for $200
IPC-HDBW4631R-ZS that others sell under $80
both appear to be 6mp varifocal dome poe ip67 h.265

my experience thus far is with a hikvision cube cam.
i got a great deal last year on a 4mp annke (offbrand)
and was happy to see it authenticate to hikvision and
work with their ivms-4200 software and browser gui,
and even their ios and android phone app.

so i ended up paying half price by avoiding hikvision name.
so is that's what is also going on here with Dahau? or is there
something besides firmware authenticity that i may be missing.

No it's China region hacked firmware. Cannot be upgraded and some components are likely different. Regardless there are better options than the 5631...also avoid domes.

Depending on your goals and distances I’d look at Turrets too first.

really? so turrets are a better design than dome when it comes to varifocal ?

i did notice on various youtube videos that domes have auto focus delays

while bullets do not... so does that mean turret is somewhere in between?
 
You need to read and stop asking the same question that have been asked 100+ times before.
Have you read the cliff notes in the wiki. Also search. Stop being lazy.
