An old WW2 vet that I knew visited China back in the mid 2000’s. He has since passed away. I’m pretty sure he only visited Beijing. He told me “Jim….they are so much farther ahead of us….” He looked down and shook his head as he struggled to form words to cement his point. And he was right.

This is 1000% because American capitalism was permitted to export manufacturing.

The way I look at it is that we got a lot of cheap stuff, and now we have to pay for it. We were stupid, and now we pay the price.
