Panoramic PTZ

Sorry about that folks, I just noticed the youtube video in post 37 was marked private. you should be able to play it now.

PTZ3E10X-T180 We will add back the vehicles tracking at May. Will release it when we get it.

For this year, we will make all PTZ>10X Zoom with autogtracking.

Ideally I'll mount this on my porch under awning, how does autotracking work if 2 people are walking on sidewalk (30ft) away in opposite directions?

It will usually stay on the first person it starts tracking. But sometimes it decides to track a mailbox the person goes by LOL. Or maybe in the right situation switch people.

Situations like this are why we always suggest using a PTZ as a compliment and not replacement for fixed cams because a PTZ could completely miss something.

that's why I wanted the dual like this so I get the 180 and the spotter in one, Just debating between this one and the 25x one. Last question is when I add it to BlueIris Can I add it as 2 cameras the top 180 cam as 1 and the ptz as another?

Yes it will be two cameras in BI.

As of right now, the 25x can track cars, but the other one cannot if that is important to you. But it sounds like a firmware update may be coming to give it vehicle tracking.

Just got the PTZ3E10X and like it a lot. Has anyone been able to get autotracking to work on an IVS rule-by-rule basis? I have a single IVS intrusion zone on the panoramic cam on a golf course fairway near my house that I would like the PTZ to autotrack when a human appears in that zone only. I have other intrusion zones and tripwires on the pano cam that I do not want to have the PTZ to autotrack. I hope I'm missing something, but autotrack seems like an all-or-nothing deal with the current firmware. Anyone had success getting autotrack work with a single IVS rule when you also have other IVS rules?

Does anyone have night footage for PTZ3E10X-T180? I am trying to find if it will work on one side of my house where I have no other cameras and no coverage at all. Anybody knows the corresponding Dahua model for PTZ3E10X-T180 ?

Granted... good external lighting due to being in business plaza.
I have one of these models for home, but not yet setup.
And I would not consider this a MAIN camera to rely on solo on a side of the house. Night time at a distant (DORI) I would not expect to be all that great. The 180 + PTZ is nice but has it's limitations.
You would want a T54I model as MAIN camera. This 180 + 10xPTZ as auxiliary camera.

Yes... I have tripwires setup for HUMAN auto-tracking on the PTZ. Works great.
I know there is a way for the 180camera's to have tripwires and then the PTZ to move... haven't tried to figure that part out yet.

Did you get this figured out? I am trying to achieve the same thing (multiple IVS rules for panoramic alerts, but only 1 IVS rule to trigger PTZ tracking).

I changed the intrusion line to a zig zag accoss the area, and i got to say the PTZ started tracking people alot better, and stayed consistently with them as they crossed the multiple lines..

Those lines are still terrible, I'm surprised you capture anyone. It will probably miss people not on the pavement nearest and even then I'm surprised it triggered on those. If they can pass behind the lines, they won't trigger it.

They need to be grounded. You're still thinking 2D. eg. I'd draw them to the 1/3rd way up the lawn of the house opposite to give them depth and ensure they're low down. Maybe even lower. You also need horizontal lines the full width of the picture to ensure no-one walks past the ends. Knee height is always a good recommendation.
