Hi everyone, I have an older home system that I need to replace the PTZ camera on my tower. 100 feet tall so I need a fair amount of zoom. I bought a used P5624-E and powered it up with straight POE. Got a picture but the little red message in the top left corner said there was not enough power to do PTZ and video at the same time. Looked at specs that I could find and it looks like it should be POE level 4 or something like that. Nowadays, I don't think that is correct and is replaced by POE+ possibly. Anyway, I did get a 90w POE+, or at least that is what it is labled, and I get the same message. Went down a rabbit hole discussion about using the multi-conductor connector, which is only a blank plate on my unit. I looked inside and indeed see the ten pins that are supposed to be there. So, I think I can get to that circuit board and wire into it but I have no idea at all what the pinout should be. Or should I be looking at a specific POE/POE+ injector? Unlike a different post, my unit powers up and I get a picture but the "low power"message keeps me from PTZ. Yes, it is old enough to be unsupported at this time, but I am having trouble finding a decent zoom on a non-IP camera (my NVR handles both but all my other cameras are coax) Retired, fixed income forces me to make certain fiscal decisions.
