Hello.

I am buying 10 IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 camera and now I don’t know which nvr to select.

Is this nvr good enough NVR16CH-16P-2EI or should I rather take NVR16CH-16P-2AI-S2

Also when connecting camera to poe nvr and disable internet to nvr – camera can’t access internet is that true?

Thanks in advance for your answer

I hate the numbering on Andy's NVRs but the 2AI-S2 is 2X more powerful with regards to bandwidth.

For the price difference I would go with the 2AI-S2

Correct, when connecting the cameras to the NVR PoE and disabling Internet access to the NVR, the cameras cannot access the Internet

I actually have both of the NVR's you listed above. For me, the S2 wasn't a noticeable upgrade from the 2EI. When making the purchase I assumed that updates in the future would be more likely with the S2, so that's what swayed me. For a power user with lots of 4K cams, the S2 probably makes the most sense, but with the 9 cameras I am currently using, I don't see much difference in performance.

Agree, its not a big upgrade with regards to features, a few more By Recorder AI instances allowed,
but it does boast 448 Mbps of bandwidth vs only 256 Mbps with the EI (and when you enable AI on the EI NVR, it drops even further to 180 Mbps)

So a substantial difference there

Same question but for up to maximum of 30 x IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3,
but i need both Dahua and Andys NVR model numbers since I am in Europe so I must see where to buy this equipment.

I was looking at NVR5232‑EI2 or NVR5432‑EI2,
what do you think about these, any better suggestions and pros/cons?

4 hard disks model?
I was thinking about offloading older recordings to my Trunas Server? I got plenty of capacity there.
Also, half of these will be motion-only cameras because they are in non-critical areas.

ok well if only motion recording the 2HD version would be fine.

I run 13 cameras and record full time + Events at high bitrates and 30fps on Two 8TB drives and get about 12-14 days

Do the NVR16CH-16P-2EI type PoE NVRs have a loud fan? do the ones with no POE operate more quietly?

Anyone have a suggestion for a Dahua NVR that doesnt make a lot of fan noise? (i can use external POE injectors that are quiet)

I’ve never bought into the fan noise thing.

Unless it’s sitting out exposed 10 ft from you I don’t hear it. Most put it in a closet or other enclosed space

There are far more things that bother me than a small fan running

* but then I spent a lot of time on the range so YMMV
